Isn’t it time to get help for your kids and for you as the parent too? Our short-term family systems model will help you and your child work together as a family to overcome the obstacles of ADHD, Anger problems, Autistic symptoms and Oppositional Defiance..
Most children struggle with behavioral issues at some point in their development; the best way for them to learn the skills they need to navigate life is with their peers. We are pleased to offer a peer-based Social Skills group conjoint with an Equipping for Parents group to address your child’s behaviors in such areas as ADHD, Anxiety, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Depression, Anger, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. This much needed community resource will help your kids while we are supporting you - in a short-term, family systems approach to helping the whole family together!
The children will be engaged in social learning opportunities to develop:
- Social Skills
- Mindfulness
- Emotional Awareness
- Improved self-esteem
The parents will be given the opportunity to learn how to:
- Build their child’s self esteem
- Relate with and build a positive relationship with their child
- Discipline and structure for their child’s needs
- Build relationships and find support among other parents
Led by Jolene Pemberton, LMSW
Jolene is a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW). She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology, as well as her Master’s Degree in Social Work, with an emphasis on working with Children, Adolescents and Families.
