Evan Knill
Counseling Intern

I am a Licensed Limited Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals heal from trauma, strengthen relationships, and develop greater self-awareness and emotional resilience. I specialize in childhood trauma, family dynamics, attachment-related concerns, and working with adolescents and young adults experiencing depression, suicidality, and emotional distress.
My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Somatic interventions to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and nervous systems while building practical coping skills for lasting change.
Prior to becoming a counselor, my wife and I spent several summers co-directing a youth camp in northern Michigan, an experience that reinforced my commitment to serving others and supporting personal growth. Today, my family and I live southeast Michigan, where we are raising our three children and striving to foster values of empathy, acceptance, and compassion.
I believe that healing is possible for everyone and that, with the right support, individuals can process difficult experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful, fulfilling lives.
